Tjerrie Smit

Tjerrie is a thought leader on data & AI.
As of March 2023, he has been appointed Chief Analytics Offer of NN Group. In this role, he has established various Data and Data Science teams. He leads the data & AI strategy programme for NN Group and together with his team he supports NN’s journey in becoming an AI frontrunner. NN launched one of the first large LLM production applications that automatically summarizes call center conversations.
Prior to his current role, Tjerrie was Head of Data & AI, Manager Advanced Analytics, Manager Customer Analytics.
Tjerrie has a broad experience in Data and Advanced Analytics.
He set up single customer view, analytical platforms and Advanced analytics teams for NN. Data and Advanced analytics have been the core in his career.
Before joining ING and NN Group in 2004 he was an IT consultant for the Financial Services industry and Telecom.
