Jose Penalva is an economist with a PhD from UCLA. He teaches at Universidad Carlos III. He is Associate member and visiting academic at the Oxford Man Institute of Quantitative Finance, and affiliate faculty at Georgetown University. His research centers on issues relating to information, learning, and market microstructure with special focus in the impact on new technologies and automation.
