Shared data and information as a service: the new paradigm of sustainable mobility.

Wed 12 Jun | 16:10 - 16:30

Despite public regulation and investment efforts, the shift towards sustainable mobility in cities is progressing with difficulties. One of the key issues is the lack of valuable information for making the right decisions: better planning of infrastructure investments by administrations, understanding which sustainable mobility modes are best suited to a region, knowing how to reduce operational costs, and reaching more customers. These are the questions that administrations and companies in the sector repeatedly ask and for which they do not have good answers. Good information is based on analyzing data from various sources, both public and private. The development and accessibility of technology that enables all this, such as Data Spaces, AI, Big Data, etc., are crucial for unlocking the power of data and democratizing access to valuable information. When put into action by sector players, this information has great transformative power.
