Volver a Blog José María Vera Villacián 24 May, 2022 I am an inequality and climate justice activist fighting for Children Rights. Before becoming the CEO of Unicef Spain I volunteered with migrant adolescents in Melilla and spent time as visiting scholar at Georgetown and Loyola Andalucia Univs. Previously I was the CEO of Oxfam Intermon (Spain) and interim of Oxfam International. For 6 years I worked at the Iberoamerican Summit of Heads of State Secretariat (SEGIB) as director of cooperation programs. I believe in the power of people, and specially of children and youth, to bring systemic change through activism and innovation. I also beleive in the capacity of the private and public sectors to contribute to these changes.
