Pol Torres Alvarez

Head of the Energy&Agrifood research line at the Technological Unit of Applied Artificial Intelligence (AAI) in Eurecat. PhD in statistical physics, MSc in Nanotechnology and Materials Science (UAB), BSc in Physics (UB), and BSc in Energy Engineering (UPC). Specialist in predictive models and simulation algorithms with over 10 years of experience. Leads R&D projects in data analysis, optimization, and AI applied to industry, energy, materials science, and agrifood. Has collaborated with international groups: Energy Conversion and Storage (DTU, Denmark), Birck Nanotechnology Center (USA), Kyoto University and University of Tokyo (Japan), and ICMAB-CSIC. Author of a book on thermal transport in semiconductors and multiple high-impact publications.
