Bella Palomo

University professor since 2017 and dean of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, her research is linked to cyber media, active audiences, misinformation, and the impact of artificial intelligence on professional routines.

Bella Palomo worked as a journalist for a decade for the Vocento Group (Diario Sur).

From a research perspective, she has been continuously involved since 2001 in projects obtained through competitive calls at the international, national, and regional levels.

She has been a visiting professor at the universities of Washington, New Jersey, Miami, Federal de Pernambuco, Federal da Bahia, and Shanghai.

Her current and future research lines are related to innovation in communication, enhancing prospective studies to outline the future of the media, determining the real influence that audiences have on the journalism industry, and improving verification in digital contexts.
