María Albalá is director of the Innovation Hub of ICEMD – ESIC Institute of Innovation. Hers responsibilities include the creation of the Innovation ecosystem around the institute and the dissemination of innovation trends. She joined ICEMD in 2020. Previously, She has held technology consulting positions in companies in multiple sectors such as banking, insurance, logistics or telecommunications, where she helped in their digital transformation and innovation processes. Since 2013, it is specialized in the innovation ecosystem, where it has analyzed and defined strategies for the implementation of new business models, being an active member of both this ecosystem and that of entrepreneurship. It is worth highlighting her leadership in the Correos Drones program and in the creation of the entrepreneurship program of this public company. María has a Bachelor in Computing Science & IT from the Glyndŵr University (Whales), a Computer Engineering degree from the University of Alcalá de Henares, an MBA from IE Business School, as well as various Innovation and Entrepreneurship courses from MIT
