Yongdong Wang is a Corporate Vice President of Microsoft and the chairman of Microsoft Asia-Pacific Research and Development Group. Before joining Microsoft in 2009, he worked in the Silicon Valley for 18 years in technical and leadership roles at Sybase, Inktomi, and Yahoo!. Yongdong received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from U. C. Berkeley in 1992. He grew up in China and received his B.S. in Computer Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
