Ignacio García Peredo

Ignacio is an experienced public law attorney who is leading the design and execution of the digital transformation strategy of the Regional Government of Extremadura since 2017.

His responsibilities extend among others to improve the citizen experience, IT governance, data management, privacy and security services, open government and change management, conceiving technology as a tool to simplify a new public management model that, based on the use of data, ensures a customized, omnichannel and agile relationship with citizens.

Noteworthy projects include the digital transformation of the relationship’s channels – face-to-face, internet and telephone – carried out throughout the organization with the aim of implementing a single point of access to information under an omnichannel model. the privacy and information security risk management system, the electronic processing and archiving platform as well as the implementation and evolution of the SAP HANA ERP system.
