Armand Vilalta Arias

Armand is the Data Manager of the Marketplace Optimisation team at Glovo. This team uses AI techniques to achieve a long term healthy marketplace for customers, partners and Glovo. Previously he worked as Data Scientist in different teams in the company. He is to defend a PhD in Artificial Intelligence done at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), where he was a researcher in deep learning, before joining the company. He also researched in computational neuroscience in the National Institute of Informatics of Japan.
Before being fascinated with AI, he worked for several years as a civil engineer, coordinating and directing technical projects and its execution, and as a country manager for an engineering consultancy firm.
