Moving people, vehicles, and goods around cities efficiently, safely, and sustainably is an enormous challenge in our era of expanding urbanization. So it’s no surprise that cities are creating smart mobility infrastructures, enabled by innovative technologies. Smart transportation infrastructure gives leaderships the chance to enhance quality of life and boost economic potential through mobility. Being smart in this era often depends on efficiently using technological advances to get the best possible living conditions. Smart cities do not necessarily provide a technological response to every challenge they face. They do however try to use the right technology in the right way to best serve their residents. How should all agents interact and co-create smart cities and what are the true challenges for best outcomes?
