Bits, Neurons, Qbits (and People): The ingredients to tackle this decade most pressing challenges.

In this session, Enric will tell us about the ideas that have shaped how we solve problems through computation. He will put the focus on 3 key ideas: bits, neurons and qbits, that originated many years ago out of the mind of brilliant scientists and have derived in different forms of computation, that allow us to tackle different types of problems. It is in the convergence of these different forms of computation that we see the next generation of computing, artificial intelligence and the best chance we have to solve some of our biggest problems, without forgetting the fundamental role that people should play in it.
