Cesar Camargo is the CEO of Sngular, a global technology consultancy with offices in eight countries throughout the world (sngular.com). Cesar began his career in Madrid as a backend developer and DevOps engineer. He went on to become Sngular’s CTO, stationed in the United States, before becoming the CEO of this publicly traded company (ticker: SNG).

Cesar will talk about how his personal journey is a reflection of Sngular’s commitment to the concept of adaptive advantage – that is, the willingness to respond quickly and fearlessly to the challenges posed by an increasingly competitive and everchanging global economy. Despite his somewhat limited command of the English language, Cesar uprooted his wife and two young boys in 2015 and moved to Birmingham Alabama, in the United States’ deep south, to service the pressing and evolving needs of one of Sngular’s largest clients. Raised in Madrid’s Villaverde neighborhood, Cesar quickly learned to adapt to his new surroundings in the U.S. and grew not just to love and embrace the people of Birmingham, but also to help their city develop a thriving technology ecosystem.

Three years later, Cesar moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was tasked with the additional responsibility of leading Sngular’s digital transformation of what was then its newest and largest client in the U.S. Following his three years working in the heart of the United States’ so-called “rust belt”, Cesar was appointed to be Sngular’s CEO and lead the company through its 2022 IPO and the subsequent expansion of its global footprint.

Cesar will share what he considers to be the key to his (and Sngular’s) success — namely, the fearless embracing of the concept of adaptive advantage, the willingness to learn and quickly change as circumstances require.
